Katie has been marketing and working with brands for over eight years. During this time Katie gathered experience in spa and wellness marketing from her experience coordinating marketing in the Durham Region for two major wellness centres including Durham’s largest wellness centre and spa. A fortuitous meeting at a BBQ put her in touch with her “online marketing guru” who taught her all the secrets of email & content marketing. Her most unique skill is her ability to look at a product or service from the “client’s eyes” and this skill informs all her marketing planning and coaching. Katie encourages women to empower feminine traits in business and celebrates beauty, intimacy, community, and connection as business metrics.  She believes small business development is the best strategy for regional economic success.

Brent Colmer

Manager, Projects and Accounts

Brent is the first male to join our team! He grew up in, went to school in and currently resides in the Durham Region with his Boston Terrier/French Bulldog. In his spare time, Brent enjoys blogging, dining out and attending events. Brent brings with him over six years experience in both traditional and digital marketing and public relations not only locally but nationally and internationally too. Brent’s past experience includes working alongside creative entrepreneurs and small business owners, as well as with a number of high profile brands. Brent has a solid understanding of brand management after marketing for e-commerce, events and from leading multiple influencer marketing campaigns.

Kari Power

Manager, Operations & Administration

Kari is a loving mother to one little girl! She is a graduate of Humber College and comes to us with 8 years of administrative experience in commericial real estate and property management. In her last role, Kari was overseeing the day to day business operations and supporting executive staff. Kari is organized, compassionate and pays attention to detail. In her spare time, Kari enjoys date nights with her man and cottage weekends up North.

Lija Nicol

Creative Director

Lija has been working in graphic design for more than 8 years. After graduating the York/Sheridan Bachelor of Design Honours Program, Lija was the lead designer at Benefit Cosmetics in Canada before joining us at Brand Ambition. Her experience in the beauty industry has given her a sophisticated sense of design, as well as experience designing for print, packaging and web. Lija is always challenging herself to grow her skills and is currently learning hand lettering.

Ashley Adams

Lead Photographer

Ashley Adams is a professional photographer, graduating from Ryerson University with a degree in image arts. Since graduating, Ashley completed additional advanced training in marketing photography and now specializes in flat lays, product photography and styled shoots designed for advertising and service promotion.  Ashley is passionate about using social media to promote and share her images. She also helps Brand Ambition clients communicate their brand through consistent social media content.

Rachael Watkins

Senior Designer

Rachael is a skilled graphic designer with a great understanding of web design and user experience. Her love for interior design has been helpful for brand styling. She came to us from Pizza Pizza’s head office where she learned the technical skills to manipulate a single brand onto all different print types and platforms. Since joining us at Brand Ambition, over a year ago, her creativity has been able to stretch its wings, and she now blows away clients with her bold and colour filled brands.

Tatiana Gomez

Tatiana is graduate from the Contemporary Web Design Program at Durham College and has a Bachelor of IT Security at UOIT. She knows WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, JavaScript, jQuery and more. If your website is malfunctioning, or if you need an update or to learn more about e-commerce capabilities, her skill-set is available to you. Tatiana understands the importance of web functionality and user experience.

Alicia Is the newest addition to the Brand Ambiton creative team. She recently graduated from Fleming College’s Graphic Design program and interned with Brand Ambition before being hired on full time. Her attention to detail and unique illustrative style make her an important asset to the team.
